Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Face by Vicki Varvaressos was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in May 2004. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 501.90 (€ 293.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vicki Varvaressos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian boy With Father in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 6,240.00 (€ 3,642.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Face von Vicki Varvaressos kam im Mai 2004 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 501,90 (€ 293,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vicki Varvaressos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian boy With Father im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 6.240,00 (€ 3.642,59).
