Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Spanish circenses (The Circus Performers) by Vicente March y Marco was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,937.48). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vicente March y Marco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Circus Performers At Rest, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,091.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Spanish circenses (The Circus Performers) von Vicente March y Marco im November 2010 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.937,48) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Vicente March y Marco mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Circus Performers At Rest beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.091,40) versteigert wurde.
