Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Her Best Hand by Vicente García de Paredes. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,192.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vicente García de Paredes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Square Near The Stock Exchange, Paris, which sold at auction in December 2003 for GBP 13,145.00 (€ 18,618.17).
