The work Conteur à Moscou/ Storyteller in Moscow by Vyacheslav Kalinin was sold in the Rebel Spirits, Part IINon-conformist art from Important European Collections auction at Bonhams in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 21,675.00 45% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vyacheslav Kalinin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self-portrait with hang-glider, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 54,500.00 (€ 76,314.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 45 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Conteur à Moscou/ Storyteller in Moscow von Vyacheslav Kalinin wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Rebel Spirits, Part IINon-conformist art from Important European Collections bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 21.675,00 und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Vyacheslav Kalinin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Self-portrait with hang-glider beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 54.500,00 (€ 76.314,10) versteigert wurde.
