In June 2001 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Venezia, Piazza San Marco by Vittore Zanetti Zilla. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,430.00 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Vittore Zanetti Zilla; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Caseggiati sold at auction in June 2001 with the realized price of EUR 3,920.00.

Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venezia, Piazza San Marco von Vittore Zanetti Zilla zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.430,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Vittore Zanetti Zilla; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Caseggiati im Juni 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 3.920,00.
