In November 2009 Phillips in London held the auction Music, which included the work 'Wega 3300 Hifi' stereophonic system by Verner Panton. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,778.35), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Verner Panton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Cellidor And Nylon 'Type G' Chandelier, Circa 1970 in December 2007 with an auction result of USD 193,000.00 (€ 132,164.62).

Im November 2009 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Music durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Wega 3300 Hifi' stereophonic system von Verner Panton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.778,35) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Verner Panton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Cellidor And Nylon 'Type G' Chandelier, Circa 1970 im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 193.000,00 (€ 132.164,62).
