In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Composition I by Vera Spencer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,216.62), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Vera Spencer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Abstract Composition sold at auction in March 2011 with the realized price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,193.40).

Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition I von Vera Spencer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.216,62) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Vera Spencer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Abstract Composition im März 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.193,40).
