In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Abstract Composition by Vera Spencer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,193.40), 35% above the upper estimate. With this result, Abstract Composition is even the most expensive work of art by Vera Spencer that we have observed at auctions so far.
