In November 2021 Bonhams in Paris held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Sans titre by Vassilis Fotopoulos. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 7,650.00 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vassilis Fotopoulos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cinq maquettes de costumes de théâtre 76 x 58cm (29 15/16 x 22 13/16 in).(chacune), which sold at auction in November this year for EUR 19,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre von Vassilis Fotopoulos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 7.650,00 und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Vassilis Fotopoulos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cinq maquettes de costumes de théâtre 76 x 58cm (29 15/16 x 22 13/16 in).(chacune) beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für EUR 19.200,00 versteigert wurde.
