Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mount Olympus by Vassilios Ithakissios was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in May 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,942.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vassilios Ithakissios - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Olymp, which sold at auction in December 2013 for EUR 4,750.00.

Die Arbeit Mount Olympus von Vassilios Ithakissios kam im Mai 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.942,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Vassilios Ithakissios mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Olymp beobachtet, die im Dezember 2013 für EUR 4.750,00 versteigert wurde.
