Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Vertical Coast by Vanessa Gardiner was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 302.27). Other works by Vanessa Gardiner have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2008 by the work Untitled - Boscastle coast, Cornwall at GBP 375.00 (€ 453.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Vertical Coast von Vanessa Gardiner im November 2008 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 250,00 (€ 302,27) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Vanessa Gardiner wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2008 die Arbeit Untitled - Boscastle coast, Cornwall mit GBP 375,00 (€ 453,40).
