The work Figure by Vadim Sidur was sold in the Escape Artists: The Non-Conformists Online auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. It achieved a price of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,426.76), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Vadim Sidur have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian hula Hoop in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,505.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Figure von Vadim Sidur wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Escape Artists: The Non-Conformists Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.426,76) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vadim Sidur auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Russian hula Hoop im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.505,30).
