In the 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section auction, the work A Cavalier In Contemplation sold for GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,813.71) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vaclav Brozïk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ottokar's farewell in December 2010 with an auction result of SEK 1,000,000.00 (€ 111,462.81).
