Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Sunset Orb) by Václav Boštík was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2013. It changed hands for a price of GBP 33,750.00 (€ 40,613.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Václav Boštík - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans titre, which sold at auction in December 2020 for EUR 150,000.00.

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 33.750,00 (€ 40.613,61) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Václav Boštík mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans titre beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für EUR 150.000,00 versteigert wurde.
