A top price for Utagawa Yoshitomi
The work Unknown by Utagawa Yoshitomi was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,498.12). With this result, Unknown is even the most expensive work of art by Utagawa Yoshitomi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Unknown von Utagawa Yoshitomi kam im Mai 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.498,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Unknown sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Utagawa Yoshitomi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
