Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Beauties in the Snow by Utagawa Toyokuni V was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 637.50 (€ 624.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Utagawa Toyokuni V have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July last year the work Onna Shibaraku was auctioned for USD 828.75 (€ 812.34).

Die Arbeit Two Beauties in the Snow von Utagawa Toyokuni V kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 637,50 (€ 624,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
