Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Unknown by Utagawa Kunisada II was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,283.66). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Kunisada II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hell Courtesan (Jigoku Dayu) in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 89,021.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Utagawa Kunisada II kam im Juli 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.283,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Kunisada II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hell Courtesan (Jigoku Dayu) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 89.021,97).
