Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Utagawa Kokunimasa could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Unknown changed hands for USD 1,200.00 (€ 945.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Other works by Utagawa Kokunimasa have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2006 by the work Unknown at USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,229.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Utagawa Kokunimasa konnte im September 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art wechselte die Arbeit Unknown für USD 1.200,00 (€ 945,85) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Kokunimasa wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2006 die Arbeit Unknown mit USD 1.560,00 (€ 1.229,61).
