Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Miya Atsuta Shinji (Miya: Festival At Atsuta Shrine) by Utagawa Hiroshige was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year. The price achieved of USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,287.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Hiroshige achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tokaido gojusan tsugi no uchi (The fifty-three stations of the Tokaido) in September 2002 with an auction result of USD 207,500.00 (€ 210,041.50).

Die Arbeit Miya Atsuta Shinji (Miya: Festival At Atsuta Shrine) von Utagawa Hiroshige kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.260,00 (€ 1.287,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Hiroshige erzielen.
