Auction result well in line with expectations
The work True Flavor of the Mountain by Uragami Gyokudo was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,333.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Uragami Gyokudo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hanku en'u (Half the sky is misty rain) in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 95,600.00 (€ 87,706.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit True Flavor of the Mountain von Uragami Gyokudo kam im September 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.333,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Uragami Gyokudo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hanku en'u (Half the sky is misty rain) im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.600,00 (€ 87.706,42).
