Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sanchu Ketsuro Zu (Mountains In The Mist) by Uragami Gyokudo was sold in the Japanese and Korean Works of Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2004. The price achieved of USD 23,900.00 (€ 19,247.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Uragami Gyokudo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hanku en'u (Half the sky is misty rain) in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 95,600.00 (€ 87,706.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sanchu Ketsuro Zu (Mountains In The Mist) von Uragami Gyokudo wurde im September 2004 in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Works of Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.900,00 (€ 19.247,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Uragami Gyokudo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hanku en'u (Half the sky is misty rain) im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.600,00 (€ 87.706,42).
