Despite a disappointment, a good price for Umesh Kumar Uthaman
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Gravity Underarrest by Umesh Kumar Uthaman for EUR 1,260.00. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Gravity Underarrest is the most expensive artwork by Umesh Kumar Uthaman that we have observed at auction so far.
