Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Crunchy Munchy Daddy (Stone Age) by Umesh Kumar Uthaman for EUR 378.00. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Umesh Kumar Uthaman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gravity Underarrest, which sold at auction in October 2021 for EUR 1,260.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Crunchy Munchy Daddy (Stone Age) von Umesh Kumar Uthaman für EUR 378,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Umesh Kumar Uthaman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gravity Underarrest beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für EUR 1.260,00 versteigert wurde.
