Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Tea For Two', 1935 by Umbo. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,244.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Umbo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Das neueste Angebot en profil in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 32,900.00 (€ 38,769.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Tea For Two', 1935 von Umbo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.244,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Umbo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Das neueste Angebot en profil im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.900,00 (€ 38.769,74).
