The work Composizione by Umberto Milani was sold in the ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA auction at Christies in Milan in May 2001. The »bidding war« ended at ITL 10,412,500.00 (€ 9,852.16), 16% above the upper estimate. Other works by Umberto Milani have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 12,250.00 in November 2007 for the work Vibrazione Rosea.
