Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2000 Christies in Milan held the auction Arte del XX secolo, which included the work Perbacco by Ugo Nespolo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of ITL 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of ITL 4,112,500.00 (€ 3,527.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ugo Nespolo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,324.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2000 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Arte del XX secolo durch, in der auch die Arbeit Perbacco von Ugo Nespolo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von ITL 4.000.000,00 – 6.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von ITL 4.112.500,00 (€ 3.527,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ugo Nespolo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.324,99).
