It achieved a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,948.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ubaldo Gandolfi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A sleeping legionary in a helmet in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 373,250.00 (€ 448,791.07).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ubaldo Gandolfi erzielen.
