Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saints Dominic and Vincent Ferrer receiving the Rosary from the Virgin by Ubaldo Gandolfi was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,874.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ubaldo Gandolfi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A sleeping legionary in a helmet in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 373,250.00 (€ 448,791.07).
