Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Etude Plafonnante, Mars Triomphant by Ubaldo Gandolfi was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Paintings auction at Artcurial in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 10,392.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ubaldo Gandolfi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A sleeping legionary in a helmet in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 373,250.00 (€ 448,791.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Etude Plafonnante, Mars Triomphant von Ubaldo Gandolfi wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Paintings bei Artcurial versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 10.392,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ubaldo Gandolfi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A sleeping legionary in a helmet im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 373.250,00 (€ 448.791,07).
