This artwork by Ubaldo Gandolfi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2017. In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work Endymion Asleep sold for USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,793.22) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ubaldo Gandolfi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A sleeping legionary in a helmet in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 373,250.00 (€ 448,791.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ubaldo Gandolfi erzielte im Januar 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Drawings wurde die Arbeit Endymion Asleep für USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.793,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ubaldo Gandolfi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A sleeping legionary in a helmet im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 373.250,00 (€ 448.791,07).
