A top price for Tudor St George Tucker - as previously expected
In May 2005 Christies in Melbourne held the auction PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION, which included the work Springtime by Tudor St George Tucker. It changed hands for a price of AUD 173,275.00 (€ 106,513.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Springtime is the most expensive artwork by Tudor St George Tucker that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit Springtime von Tudor St George Tucker zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 173.275,00 (€ 106.513,12) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Springtime das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tudor St George Tucker, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
