Upper estimate price exceeded by 31 %.
In November last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction African Contemporary Art, which included the work Mickey, 2022 by Tsham. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 7,872.00 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tsham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre, 2020, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 19,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion African Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mickey, 2022 von Tsham zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 7.872,00 und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Tsham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre, 2020 beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 19.500,00 versteigert wurde.
