Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tristram Hillier could be acquired at Christies in New York in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work La Table changed hands for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,702.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tristram Hillier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selsey Bill, which sold at auction in June last year for GBP 57,000.00 (€ 66,217.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tristram Hillier konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit La Table für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.702,45) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tristram Hillier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selsey Bill beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für GBP 57.000,00 (€ 66.217,79) versteigert wurde.
