The work Travelling scene in Tonkin by Tran Minh Thi was sold in the Indochine auction at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 17,640.00 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tran Minh Thi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape Of The Middle Region Of North Vietnam, Diptych in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 945,000.00 (€ 104,666.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Travelling scene in Tonkin von Tran Minh Thi wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Indochine bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 17.640,00 und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tran Minh Thi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape Of The Middle Region Of North Vietnam, Diptych im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 945.000,00 (€ 104.666,44).
