A top price for Tran Dzu Hong - as previously expected
The work Scene from Truyen Kieu by Tran Dzu Hong was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. The price achieved of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 65,014.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Scene from Truyen Kieu is the most expensive artwork by Tran Dzu Hong that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Scene from Truyen Kieu von Tran Dzu Hong wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 562.500,00 (€ 65.014,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Scene from Truyen Kieu das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tran Dzu Hong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
