Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Mountain Landscape by Tran Dzu Hong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 5,148.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tran Dzu Hong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scene from Truyen Kieu in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 65,014.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Landscape von Tran Dzu Hong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 5.148,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tran Dzu Hong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scene from Truyen Kieu im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 562.500,00 (€ 65.014,59).
