Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Torbjørn Rødland achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2018. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Visitation Ii sold for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,829.89) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Torbjørn Rødland; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Nudist no. 8, 1999 sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,252.20).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Torbjørn Rødland erzielte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Visitation Ii für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.829,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Torbjørn Rødland; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Nudist no. 8, 1999 im Mai 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.252,20).
