Auction result well in line with expectations
The work That Too Is Reality by Tony Scherman was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2012. The price achieved of CAD 18,000.00 (€ 14,066.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tony Scherman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bonaparte, which sold at auction in May 2012 for CAD 39,000.00 (€ 30,477.03).

Die Arbeit That Too Is Reality von Tony Scherman wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 18.000,00 (€ 14.066,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tony Scherman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bonaparte beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für CAD 39.000,00 (€ 30.477,03) versteigert wurde.
