Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Georgian Bay by Tony Scherman. The price achieved of CAD 12,000.00 (€ 8,965.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tony Scherman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bonaparte, which sold at auction in May 2012 for CAD 39,000.00 (€ 30,477.03).
