Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Untitled (...And Valleys Of Frustration And Failure) by Tony Lewis. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,423.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work no in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 79,588.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (...And Valleys Of Frustration And Failure) von Tony Lewis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.423,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tony Lewis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit no im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 79.588,87).
