A top price for Tong Zhengang - as previously expected
In October 2013 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings (II), which included the work Boredom · Ruyi Scepter by Tong Zhengang. The price achieved of HKD 287,500.00 (€ 27,282.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Boredom · Ruyi Scepter is the most expensive artwork by Tong Zhengang that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2013 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings (II) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boredom · Ruyi Scepter von Tong Zhengang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 287.500,00 (€ 27.282,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Boredom · Ruyi Scepter das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tong Zhengang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
