Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pensamiento- Nube by Tomás Sánchez was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 112,500.00 (€ 92,258.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tomás Sánchez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Llegada del caminante a la laguna in March last year with an auction result of USD 1,800,000.00 (€ 1,622,644.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pensamiento- Nube von Tomás Sánchez wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 92.258,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tomás Sánchez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Llegada del caminante a la laguna im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.800.000,00 (€ 1.622.644,91).
