In December 2017 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Tomas Rajlich. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,750.00 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tomas Rajlich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sans titre in May this year with an auction result of EUR 40,320.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tomas Rajlich zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.750,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tomas Rajlich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sans titre im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.320,00.
