Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mr. Willy Remembers by Tom Palmore was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2017. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,261.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tom Palmore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work West in Front, which sold at auction in July 2010 for EUR 15,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mr. Willy Remembers von Tom Palmore kam im August 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.261,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tom Palmore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit West in Front beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für EUR 15.000,00 versteigert wurde.
