This artwork by Tom Palmore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2017. In the Living with Art auction, the work Gentle Giant sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,680.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tom Palmore; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot West in Front sold at auction in July 2010 with the realized price of EUR 15,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tom Palmore erzielte im August 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Living with Art wurde die Arbeit Gentle Giant für USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.680,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tom Palmore; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit West in Front im Juli 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 15.000,00.
