Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Screen Star: Alexander Heinrici, Master Printer, which included the work Dollar Bill Back by Tom Friedman. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,077.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Friedman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 856,000.00 (€ 645,501.85).
