Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the road to Kirriemuir by Tom Campbell was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours auction at Christies in London in March 2004. The price achieved of GBP 478.00 (€ 715.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Other works by Tom Campbell have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2004 the work An artist sketching by a Scottish inlet was auctioned for GBP 896.25 (€ 1,341.60).
