A top price for Tom Campbell - as previously expected
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings, which included the work An artist sketching by a Scottish inlet by Tom Campbell. The price achieved of GBP 896.25 (€ 1,341.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An artist sketching by a Scottish inlet is the most expensive artwork by Tom Campbell that we have observed at auctions so far.
