In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Great Imagination Game by Tokuhiro Kawai. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,093.61), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tokuhiro Kawai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sleep Collector, which sold at auction in May 2014 for HKD 425,000.00 (€ 40,194.28).

Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Great Imagination Game von Tokuhiro Kawai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.093,61) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Tokuhiro Kawai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sleep Collector beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für HKD 425.000,00 (€ 40.194,28) versteigert wurde.
