Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2018 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled #5157, 2006 by Todd Hido. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,252.20). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Todd Hido - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images from House Hunting, which sold at auction in October 2017 for USD 36,250.00 (€ 31,121.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled #5157, 2006 von Todd Hido zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.252,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Todd Hido mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images from House Hunting beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für USD 36.250,00 (€ 31.121,22) versteigert wurde.
